PRE-, DURING, AND POST- THE PHANTOM MENACE. Set during Padmé’s tenure as Queen Amidala of Naboo, before, during, and after the Trade Federation’s blockade of her planet. Though young, she is wise beyond her years, and one of the most beloved monarchs the planet has ever had. FCs used include Natalie Portman in TPM, and Poppy Drayton for the subsequent years.

VERSE TWO: LIBERTY PERSONIFIED. PRE- AND DURING AOTC, THOUGH ROTS. Set during Padmé’s tenure as Senator Amidala, after she stepped down from her role as queen. She resides in Coruscant, though she continues to have a home in Naboo, along with her parents’ residence. Padmé may or may not be secretly married to Anakin Skywalker depending on the timeline of interactions in this verse. FCs used include Natalie Portman and Poppy Drayton. ( MAIN VERSE. )

VERSE THREE: LIBERTY LIES ON A BED OF CORPSES.
POST ROTS, THROUGH RO AND ANH. Padmé survives the birth of her children and builds the rebellion with Bail Organa and Mon Mothma, taking up the alias ‘Anthia Barrie’ after faking her own death. Acting as Mon Mothma’s Chief of Staff, she takes a backseat from the public figure she’s spent her life has, instead working more on a person to person level within the rebellion. She works on the ground level where Mon and Bail cannot, and resides on various bases, though her home base is and always will be Alderaan. Leia believes her to merely be her aunt, an old friend of her parents, and Luke is unaware of her existence. She watches her children grow up secondhand, via Bail and Breha and Obi-Wan, and is hellbent on taking down Vader and the Empire, no matter what the personal cost is. VERSE FOUR: IMPERIAL SENATOR AMIDALA.
POST ROTS. AU where Padmé never made it to Mustafar. After giving birth to her twins on Coruscant, the Emperor sent the newly christened Darth Vader to bring her into custody for conspiracy to commit treason against the newfound empire. She was able to get the twins safely to Bail shortly before her arrest, and then was taken into protective custody. While Palpatine allowed her to keep her seat in the senate, it was merely as a figurehead, as a warning to both her husband and her friends who were attempting to form the beginnings of an alliance against the empire, and as a hostage, useful only until Palpatine managed to find her children, and eliminate the last three threads to Vader’s humanity. FCs used include Natalie Portman and Annabel Scholey.

VERSE FIVE: AS BEAUTIFUL AND TERRIBLE AS THE DAWN. POST ROTS. Dark Padmé AU. After the birth of her children, Padmé did not die, but was taken by Palpatine and delivered to Lord Vader, who had just recovered from his surgery into his life supporting suit. Eventually, she succumbs to the Dark Side, joining her husband on a throne under the Emperor. FCs used include Natalie Portman and Mallory Jansen.
